A Bay Area native originally from San Jose, California, Dr. Terán graduated with his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 2014. He then completed his internship in internal medicine and his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation both at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Southern California, where he received extensive training in the management of musculoskeletal and neurological injury, as well as diagnosis of nerve injury through nerve conduction studies and electromyography (NCS/EMG).
Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in physical medicine and rehabilitation through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR). The mission of the ABPMR is to serve the public by improving the quality of patient care in physical medicine and rehabilitation. This is accomplished through a process of certification and maintenance of certification that fosters excellence and encourages continuous learning.
Holding fellowship status, Dr. Terán is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
