Serving individuals in Brevard County, Nella is the Founder & Medical Director of Bella Mental Health Services. She provides a full range of mental health services – from therapy, family services, assessments, and medication management to forensic evaluations.
Her therapy style is solution-focused and challenges her clients thought processes and behaviors. She does believe in using some confrontational techniques when necessary in order to challenge patterns in the individual’s life.
Among her other positions, Nella is a Clinical Forensic Neuroscience-Informed Practitioner with the American Institute for the Advancement of Forensic Studies, a Certified Forensic Mental Health Examiner with the National Board of Forensic Evaluators, Inc., and on the Adjunct Faculty at the Florida Institute of Technology, where she teaches Psychology to undergraduate students.
With extensive experience in the forensic field and working with those suffering from severe, persistent mental illness, she is also a Qualified Supervisor for mental health counselors with the Florida Department of Health. As the Forensic Mental Health Director for a non-profit agency, she has proved to be an outstanding performer in acute care and forensic psychology within the mental health field.
Born in San Pedro, California, Nella moved to Florida with her parents when she was 5 years old. She was primarily raised in Melbourne and graduated from Palm Bay High School. She then received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Florida Institute of Technology in 2011, and her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University in 2015.
Currently, she is obtaining her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Clinical Psychology at North Central University, where she is expected to graduate in 2024.
On a professional level, Nella is a member of the American Counseling Association.

Attributing her success to her passion for what she does and a goal in mind to make changes to help people, Nella desires to continue making an impact on her community as a Forensic Expert for the 18th Judicial Circuit located in Brevard County and has also served individuals in neighboring counties.
She has proven success in leadership, operational excellence, and organizational development with a keen understanding of elements of community needs. She was recognized for inspiring management team members to excel and encouraging creative work environments and was nominated as a Top 12 Finalist for LEAD Brevard in 2020. She was also nominated for FIT’s weVenture, “Women Who Rock” Award for Compassion in Caregiving in 2022.
On a more personal note, Nella is a wife and mother to 3 teenagers and a Frenchie named Nova. She enjoys boat days with her family, husband, and friends as well as traveling and simple dates and nights out with her husband. Her favorite restaurants are Bonefish Grill and Hemmingway’s. She loves so many movies, but her favorite are comedies.
