Studiously, Dr. Carré received medical training at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and completed a Master’s Degree in Public Health at the University of California Berkeley. He pursued residencies in general surgery at Stanford and at Harvard. He also served as a postdoctoral researcher at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, UCSF, and Stanford.
As a resident and fellow at the University of Southern California, he specialized in plastic surgery and microsurgery.
From 2019 to 2021, Dr. Carré served as a member of the Regional Surgical Wound Care Committee at the Southern California Permanente Medical Group. During the same period, he held the role of Clinical Strategic Goals Physician Champion in the Plastic Surgery Department at Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles Medical Center. Additionally, in 2020 and 2021, he took on the role of a faculty member in the Professionalism Committee within the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. During this time, he also served as the Co-Chair for the Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Faculty within the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Southern California

His passion for exploration was supported by the Hagey Fellowship Grant from 2007 to 2009, allowing him to engage in Quest-Discovery Stage Research Projects focused on “Ex-Vivo and InVivo Mechanism of Scaring and Wound Healing.” Lastly, his academic journey commenced with scholarships, including the SKB Foundation Scholarship and the Osher Scholarship in 2002 while attending the University of San Francisco School of Medicine.
