Lehmbecker Law participated as a delegate at the 21st annual Latino Legislative Day, held February 2nd, 2026, at the Washington State Capitol and organized by the Latino Civic Alliance. The firm represents the interests of injured Latino workers throughout Washington State and met with Governor Bob Ferguson, who opened the day’s program.

The 2026 Event

Despite steady rain, participants marched from Capitol Way South to the steps of the Legislative Building, where state legislators, community leaders, and Washington Supreme Court Justice Steven Gonzalez addressed the crowd. Worker protections were a recurring theme, including proposals on wage safeguards for construction workers and collective bargaining for agricultural workers.

Through its workers’ compensation practice, Lehmbecker Law regularly assists Spanish-speaking workers who have been injured on the job and need help navigating Washington’s workers’ compensation system. Several team members serve clients directly in Spanish, so language does not stand between an injured worker and the benefits they are owed.

A Continuing Commitment

This year’s visit builds on the firm’s earlier participation. Previously, Lehmbecker Law joined a Latino Civic Alliance delegation that met with then-Governor Jay Inslee at the Capitol to raise the concerns of injured workers and their families.

Most recently, on September 12th, 2026, the Lehmbecker Law team took part in an event hosted in partnership with the Mexican Consulate, continuing the firm’s outreach and education for Washington’s Spanish-speaking community.
