(WorldFrontNews Editorial):- Markham, Ontario Sep 16, 2026 (Issuewire.com) – Can Sports Center has expanded its basketball programming at 1443 Denison Street in Markham, adding structured training options alongside its existing court rental system, which operates 24 hours a day.
The facility offers two full courts and four half courts. Peak hours run from 3 p.m. to 5 a.m., seven days a week, with half-court rental priced at $80 an hour and full-court rental at $130 an hour. A shooting machine is also available to book at the front desk.
New and existing programs now include drop-in sessions, pick-up runs, adult training for players aged 16 and older, small-group coaching, and private skills training focused on court work alone. Elite 1-on-1 Athlete Development combines individual skills coaching with gym-based strength training, providing players with a structured path beyond open-court time.
“Players are asking for structure, not just open gym time, and that shift is what this expansion addresses directly,” said Patrick Jabbaz, co-founder of Can Sports Center. “Basketball camps, clinics, and the recreational men’s league round out the programming for players at every stage.”
The facility also runs a men’s recreational league through Can Sports Center, as well as basketball camps and clinics for younger players. Court access remains available around the clock, a structure the facility has maintained since opening.
