According to reports, Myles Garrett is in talks with his Cleveland Browns regarding the extension of his contract. It has been alleged that the organization is supposed to prepare very hard as they are all set to offer one of the best deals as one of the defensive ends can very well get in the league currently.

Garrett, who is considered to be arguably the best defender that the league has, is very much necessary for the Browns who want to get in a long term contract and want to tie him up already for a fairly long-term. Although in his rookie contract there are still two more years to go, it appears that the talked much about franchise coming from Ohio is not very much willing to risk anything of sorts but wants that the deal is finalized pretty much soon so that things get started. Myles Garrett and the Cleveland Browns Negotiation a Big Deal.

While we are talking about the figures coming from his new deal, many of them have started comparing it to the highest-paid players of DE who are part of the NFL. The first position among them is held by Khalil Mack and his earning in Chicago per year has been a staggering $ 23.5 million. DeMarcus Lawrence from Dallas received a whopping $ 21 million and $ 20.8 million has been received by Frank Clark from Kansas City. So, for sure, this is not going to be less than $ 20 million and it has also been suggested by some that among all the defenders Garrett has got all the chance to become the player who is paid the highest among all.

According to reports from Cleveland from a post in Twitter the contract of Myles Garrett could be extended to this summer by The Browns. The contract talks have already started between Myles Garrett and The Browns that are potentially going to set-up a mega-extension in this summer. The reports came via Jeremy Fowler who is a part of the sports channel ESPN.

There is no doubt about it that the former No. 1 deserves such great treatment from the draft of 2017. In the 10 games last year, Garrett has got 10 sacks and had it been not for the suspension for the six games that he has got a much better record can be expected of him.

The suspension has been received by the 24-year-old after he fought with QB Mason Rudolph from the Pittsburg Steeler on 14th November last year. Rudolph has been hit on the head by him with a helmet and has been sent-off immediately from the field. After that, there has been a wait for a few months and finally, his termination has been suspended this February.

If his temper is controlled and managed by Garrett, the Browns are expected to get one of the most serious winning candidates for the award of the Defensive Player of the Year in the upcoming few years and someone who is going to play the central role as part of their defense.

On its roster, Cleveland has got enormous talent and they are very much in need to find the right kind of chemistry so that a unit can be build that is going to compete in the title for the Super Bowl. With players like Jarvis Landry, Odell Beckham Jr., Nick Chubb, and Baker Mayfield and various other players on the board this team has got everything that is needed to become the true contender for the title. Securing the contract with Garrett for a period that is long-term is going to be the first step towards achieving it.
