23-year old YouTube star Jake Paul is in trouble after FBI agents including a SWAT team raided his house in California on Wednesday.
The FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller made a statement to Yahoo Entertainment that the search warrant was served, starting at 6 am at his Calabasas, California mansion in association with another ongoing investigation.
The affidavit in support of the search warrant was sealed by a judge, so they were not allowed to comment on the nature of the investigation.
The fact that the home does belong to the YouTuber was confirmed by his attorney Richard Schonfeld.
Schonfeld said in an email that the search warrant was executed at Jake’s Calabasas home on Wednesday morning while Jake was out-of-state. He also claimed that they are still gathering information and will be cooperating with the investigation fully.
From a video obtained from the local television news helicopters, it is clear that federal agents found quite a few rifles from Jake’s Calabasas home with a boxing ring and hot tub in the backyard which is quite familiar to the fans being present in his videos.
Eimiller confirmed that A SWAT team had entered the property of the controversial YouTube influencer but no arrest was made.
On Wednesday the police from Scottsdale, Arizona officially dismissed the charges of trespassing and unlawful assembly against Paul and two others saying that this was so that a federal criminal investigation can be completed, and the charges could be refiled later.
In June, Jake appeared in a video of a big crowd breaking in Scottsdale mall and looting stores. The charges of trespassing were filed after that.
In response, Paul said that he had no involvement in the events and he was only looking for people protesting the death of George Floyd.
The young video maker has more than 20 million followers on his YouTube channel with videos of stunts, pranks, stories from his personal life, and more recently some music videos as well.
He became famous with his videos on Vine and also acted in the Disney Channel show Bizaardvark.
His older brother Logan Paul is also a YouTuber and is even more popular than him.
There have been complaints over the years made by the neighbors on the activities that were executed by Jake Paul for his YouTube videos.
Last month he was immensely criticized by Calabasas Mayor Alicia Weintraub, after a video of him partying with dozens of people at his house amid the pandemic with minimal masks and absolutely no social distancing appeared on the internet.
