Holly Willoughby publically shared that she is quitting ITV show ‘This Morning’ for personal reasons. She has been a part of this show for the last 14 years and this now coming to an end. She had been missing from this daytime program since last week.

But a man was charged with soliciting to murder an alleged kidnapping plot of Willoughby. She posted on social media, “I have let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning.” Yet, her statement didn’t directly refer to the kidnap plot.

“It’s been an honor to just be part of its story and I know this story has many chapters left to go. Sadly, however, I now feel I have to make this decision for me and my family,” she added, “I will miss you all so much.”

The news comes after five months when the show was completely engulfed in scandal. Willoughby’s former co-host Phillip Schofield left the show. But before that, he admitted that he was in a relationship with one of his younger colleagues, and lied about it for a long time.

The 42-year-old TV host thanked her audience and also the people who have worked with her on the show. She wrote, “This is such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I forever will be proud of what we’ve done together.” She also added, “Thank you to everyone at ITV for being supportive. To every guest who has sat on our sofa, thank you.”

“Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers. You’ve been so loyal, so supportive, and the very best company every day,” she wrote. Kevin Lygo, ITV’s managing director of media and entertainment, said, “We are sad that Holly is leaving This Morning, but respect her decision which we know will have been extremely difficult for her to make.”

“Holly is one of the best-loved, respected, and most accomplished broadcasters in the UK,” he added, “She has been at the heart of This Morning for the past 14 years, and she is adored by our viewers.” While talking about her unique styles he added, “Holly has brought her unique brand of warmth, energy, humor, and fun to one of the country’s most popular daytime shows, and everyone on the program will miss her enormously.”

To her social media post, one of her co-hosts, Alison Hammond replied, “This is a very sad day! Love you.” One of her regular collaborators, Vanessa Feltz wrote in her post, “We will miss you so very much my darling.”

Daniel Baldwin is Willoughby’s husband and she is also a mother of three children, she presented her last and final episode of the show last Wednesday. On Thursday, she was under police protection as Gavin Plumb was accused of “soliciting, encouraging, persuading, endeavoring to persuade or proposing to a third party” to murder Willoughby, he was presented in court Friday.
