Set in 1980s Louisiana, the Orion Labauve series tells the story of a young man manipulated by gods and raised by ghosts who finds he has been endowed with extraordinary powers over the living and the dead.

Yet dark forces surround and threaten him. In the first book in the series, Search for the Signet, Orion’s paternal grandmother kidnaps him and tries to use his powers for her private vengeance. In the second book, Spectral Promises, Orion meets Seren Griffyths, a psychic who enlists Orion’s help in exorcising a young ghost from a house. They discover the ghost’s mother is being held against her will in an insane asylum. When they free her, they become targets of a crime lord who vows vengeance and sets out to destroy Orion in the latest book.

LL Blake is the nom de plume of Linda Nelson, who was the power behind Denver’s literary science fiction and fantasy convention, Milehicon, for decades. Having retired from heading Milehicon and her day job, Linda now concentrates on writing the science fiction and fantasy she loves.
